Calibrating Slide [General]

Slide has to calibratie itself when installed, but can also be re-calibrated using the app. The goal of calibration is to measure the length of your curtain track and which power setting is best applicable for your curtains.
How to calibrate Slide?
- During a fresh install of Slide you will be automatically prompted to calibrate it.
- To re-calibrate an existing Slide. Go to the Slide detail page (if you only have one Slide, you are probably already on it) and select the gear icon in the top right corner. Then select "re-calibrate"
The calibration process
Once you start the calibration, Slide will first try to fully open your curtains. When Slides reaches this position, it will store it as the "completely open" position. After that, it will try to completely close your curtains, therefore defining the 'completely closed' position.
If Slide was not able to fully open or close your curtains, try to increase its strength by selecting "Increase strength and retry". You can select a strength and Slide will automatically start again with the new selected strength. Our advice is to use the minimum strength needed to open and close the curtains.
This way if you want to block the curtains by hand, of something is obstructing the curtains from moving, Slide will know and will stop.
After the calibration process ended Slide will do a final test run, opening your curtains completely.
User-specific "open" and "closed" position.
If you do not want your Slide to automatically select its endpoints (open and closed position), you can set it manually during the calibration process. In order to do so, you need to press "manual stop" during the time Slide is calibrating. You can also stop Slide at the desired position by hand. This way Slide will think it reached an endpoint.
